Abstract:
This thesis analyses John Steinbeck's essays from his book America and Americans; analysed topics include his view of American society, American dream, issues concerning the government, racism, conformity, glorification of youth, Americans and the land, American culture, Steinbeck's view of the future and the development of his worldview throughout the years.
Abstract:
Tato bakalářská práce má za cíl analýzu esejů Johna Steinbecka z jeho knihy Amerika a Američané; rozebíraná témata zahrnují jeho názor na americkou společnost, americký sen, záležitosti týkající se vztahů k vládě, rasismus ve společnosti, konformita, kult mládí, vztah američanů k přírodě, Steinbeckův názor na americkou kulturu, jeho vize budoucnosti a vývoj jeho názorů.
