Identifying crisis organizational structure using the modified methodology EFQM

Anotácia:

V teoretické části diplomové práce byla vymezena problematika organizace, organizační změny a příznaků krize v kontextu Greinerovy teorie o zákonitostech vývoje a krizí organizačních struktur. V praktické části diplomové práce byl navržen, a na konkrétní firmě pak i ověřen, model identifikace příznaků krize organizační struktury s využitím baterie otázek výkonnostně orientovaného modelu START, který vychází z metodiky EFQM. Na základě zjištěných výsledků v navrženém modelu, které byly konfrontovány s výsledky analýz vnějšího a vnitřního podnikatelského prostředí hodnocené firmy, byly potvrzeny dvě hypotézy: a) navržený model je schopen detekovat příznaky krize organizační struktury, b) v rámci hodnocení byla potvrzena předpokládaná rozdílnost názorů vlastníka firmy a názoru řídícího managementu firmy. Nepotvrdila se třetí hypotéza o tom, že posuzovaná firma se nachází na rozhraní první a druhé fáze organizační krize, přesto, že jsou pro to, dle Greinerovy teorie vytvořeny téměř ideální podmínky. Pro toto zjištění uvádí autor diplomové práce, že je zapotřebí vzít v úvahu, skutečnost, že zákonitosti změn organizačních struktur, ke kterým dochází u firem při jejich růstu a vývoji, formuloval Larry E. Greiner před více jak čtyřiceti roky. Současná praxe nabízí k řešení problémů růstu a vývoje firem spíše průběžnou optimalizaci jejich činnosti s využitím IT nástrojů podpory řízení.

Abstract:

The theoretical part gave the definition of the organization issues, organization changes and the symptons of the crisis in the context of Greiner theories relating to the development and crisis management of organizational structures. The practical part suggested and on the particular company further validated the model of idetifying signs of the crisis of the organizational structure using a battery of questions START performance-oriented model, which is based on the EFQM methodology. Based on the results of the proposed model which were compared with the results of analyzes of internal and external business environment of the evaluated firms, there were confirmed two hypotheses: a) the proposed model is able to detect signs of the crisis of the organizational structure, b) in persuance of the evaluation, the expected divergence of views and opinionsof the owner of the company and the senior management of the company were confirmed. The third hypothesis claming that the assessed company is located at the interface of the first and second phases of organizational crises, though there are for this case, according to Greiner theory created almost ideal conditions,was not confirmed.For this finding the author of the thesis indicates that it is necessary to take into account the fact that the laws changing organizational structures that occur in companies during their growth and development, were formulated by Larry E. Greiner more than forty years ago. The current practice is offering companies more likely the continuous optimization of their activity with the use of IT tools management support as a solution to the problems of their growth and development.
