Usability testing and evaluation of selected road atlases

Abstract:

Práce pojednává o testování a hodnocení použitelnosti autoatlasů a vztahuje se k problematice kartografie. V první části jsou vymezena teoretická východiska pro jednotlivé pojmy jako kartografie, mapa, složky hodnocení map a atlasů, použitelnost, metody testování použitelnosti a uživatelské testování použitelnosti. V práci je navržena metodika hodnocení a testování použitelnosti autoatlasů. Získané výsledky jsou poté statisticky vyhodnoceny a rovněž jsou identifikovány problémy.

Abstract:

This work deals with the usability testing and evaluating of the road atlas. The work is included into the branch of the cartography. In the first part are defined for each theoretical concepts such as cartography, map, component maps and atlases evaluation, usability, usability testing methods and user usability testing. We propose an evaluation methodology for usability testing and road atlases. The results are then statistically analyzed and are also identified problems.
