Evaluation of postoperative pain.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce přibližuje problematiku pooperační bolesti u dospělých pacientů. V teoretické části je popsána historie léčby bolesti, fyziologie bolesti, možnosti hodnocení a terapie bolesti. Dále pojednává o operacích a úloze nelékařského zdravotnického pracovníka při léčbě pooperační bolesti. Praktická část práce je koncipována jako polostrukturovaný rozhovor, doplněný o studii zdravotnické dokumentace. Byly zjišťovány rozdíly ve skutečně prožité a očekávané bolesti, dále byl sledován vývoj rané pooperační bolesti a prostor byl dán také průzkumu spokojenosti pacientů po operacích. Bakalářská práce si klade za cíl zlepšení managementu bolesti na odděleních, kde průzkum probíhal.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of postoperative pain in adult patients. The theoretical part describes the history of pain management, physiology of pain, possibilities of assessment and pain therapy. It also deals with the operations and the role of a non-medical health worker in the treatment of postoperative pain. The practical part of the thesis is conceived as a semi-structured interview supplemented with the study of medical documentation. Differences in actual and expected pain were detected, followed by the development of early postoperative pain, and a progression of patient satisfaction after surgery. The bachelor thesis focused at improving the management of pain in the departments where the survey was conducted.
