Tato práce představuje motiv Zeleného muže. Vymezuje tento pojem v oblasti umění, popisuje vývoj jeho ztvárnění od antiky, přes středověké sakrální umění, až po současnost. Zároveň se věnuje jeho interpretaci v jednotlivých historických obdobích. Dále zmiňuje několik souvisejících postav (např. This study describes the symbol of the Green Man. It contains art definition of this symbol and description of the design-changes in the past centuries – since antiquity, medieval sacral art, till today. The interpretation (understanding) of the symbol during the times is also an important theme.
