Micropolutans in the water and possibilities of their removal

Abstract:

Ve vodách se nachází celé spektrum látek (tzv. mikropolutantů), které neumí konvenční technologie v čistírnách odpadních vod odstranit, a tak je třeba hledat alternativní způsoby jejich odstraňování. Mikropolutanty se do vod dostávají z bodových a plošných zdrojů. Protože jsou tyto látky často ve vodách zastoupeny pouze v malých množstvích, je jejich analýza náročná. Nicméně analytické laboratorní metody se rychle rozvíjejí a umožňují detekci velmi nízkých koncentrací látek ve vodním prostředí. Legislativa v tuto chvíli stanovuje seznam látek (tzv. endokrinních disruptorů), které jsou považovány za rizikové a je třeba je sledovat. Dosud není u všech endokrinních disruptorů známa koncentrace, při které mají tyto látky negativní účinky na lidský organismus. V této práci se zabývám výskytem endokrinních disruptorů ve vodě. Popisuji metody stanovení endokrinních disruptorů ve vodním prostředí a možnosti jejich odstranění. Analyzuji situaci výskytu endokrinních disruptorů (zvláště pesticidů a farmak) ve vodách České republiky a diskutuji možnosti eliminace těchto látek z životního prostředí.

Abstract:

There is a wide range of substances (so-called micro-pollutants) that cannot be removed by conventional technologies in sewage treatment plants, so alternative ways to remove them must be found. Micropollutants get into the water from spot and surface sources. Because these substances are often only in small quantities in water, their analysis is demanding. However, analytical laboratory methods are rapidly evolving to detect very low concentrations of substances in the aquatic environment. Legislation now sets out a list of substances (so-called endocrine disruptors) that are considered to be risky and should be monitored. Until now, it is not certain which concentrations of endocrine disruptors can have negative effects on the human body. In this paper I deal with the occurrence of endocrine disruptors in water. I describe methods of determination of endocrine disruptors in the aquatic environment and possibilities of their elimination. I analyse the situation of endocrine disruptors (especially pesticides and pharmacies) in the waters of the Czech Republic and discuss the possibilities of eliminating these substances from the environment.
