Accounting and tax depreciation of fixed assets and tax consequences on disposal

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje problematice odpisování dlouhodobého majetku a jeho vyřazení z účetního i daňového hlediska. Práce je rozdělena do šesti kapitol. První kapitola je věnována charakteristice dlouhodobého majetku a jeho rozdělení do jednotlivých skupin. Dále ve druhé kapitole jsou popsány způsoby pořízení majetku a jeho oceňování. Třetí kapitola je věnována samotnému odpisování dlouhodobého majetku a je rozdělena na dvě klíčové části – účetní a daňové odpisy. V samostatné, čtvrté kapitole je popsáno technické zhodnocení dlouhodobého majetku, jaký je limit pro uznání jako technického zhodnocení a jeho výpočet. V předposlední kapitole jsou popsány různé důvody pro vyřazení dlouhodobého majetku a jeho účtování. Každá kapitola obsahuje vzorový příklad věnovaný dané problematice s podrobně popsaným výpočtem i slovním komentářem dosažených výsledků. V praktické části bakalářské práce je převzat příklad z praxe a skutečné události vedoucí k vyřazení automobilu, který měla společnost zařazený ve svém dlouhodobém majetku. Dále jsou znázorněny vybrané dlouhodobé majetky dané společnosti a jejich řešení odpisování v případě nerovnosti účetních a daňových odpisů anebo využití odpisů mimořádných.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of depreciation of fixed assets and their disposal from the accounting and tax point of view. The thesis is divided into six chapters. The first chapter is devoted to the characteristics of fixed assets and their division into individual groups. The second chapter describes the methods of acquisition of assets and their valuation. The third chapter is devoted to the depreciation of fixed assets and is divided into two key parts - accounting and tax depreciation. A separate fourth chapter describes the technical appreciation of fixed assets, the limit for recognition as technical appreciation and its calculation. The penultimate chapter describes the various reasons for disposing of fixed assets and their accounting. Each chapter contains a sample example devoted to the issue with a detailed calculation and a verbal commentary on the results obtained. In the practical part of the bachelor thesis an example is taken from practice and actual events leading to the disposal of a car that the company had included in its fixed assets. Furthermore, selected fixed assets of the company and their depreciation solutions in case of inequality of accounting and tax depreciation or use of extraordinary depreciation are illustrated.
