Cieľom dizertačnej práce je kritická analýza diskurzu inštitucionálnych tlačových správ pričom sa zohľadňuje problematika žánru. Výskum sa zameriava na tlačové správy s tematikou klimatických zmien vydané Európskou komisiou. The thesis provides a critical discourse analysis (CDA) of institutional press releases while taking into account the issue of genre. The focus of the research are press releases covering the topic of climate change issued by the European Commission, which are analyzed in comparison with press releases covering the same topic issued by the respective governmental department in the UK.
