Multifunctional chest of drawers

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na návrh víceúčelové komody s důrazem na modularitu. V teoretické části autor přináší přehled poznatků o dané oblasti. Zaměřuje se na rešerše věnované komodám, multifunkčnímu a modulárnímu nábytku, terminologii, ergonomii a normám souvisejících s navrhovanými funkcemi. Praktickou část tvoří návrh víceúčelové komody s funkcemi pracovního stolu a otevřeného úložného prostoru. Návrh byl vytvořen v souladu s popsanou teorií. Výstupem práce je soubor vizualizací vytvořených za pomoci grafického programu 3DS Max, technická dokumentace a vyrobený prototyp.

Abstract:

The master‘s thesis introduces a design of a multipurpose chest of drawers with an emphasis on its modularity. In the theoretical section, the current state of knowledge on the topic is summarized. Overview of a design of the chest of drawers, multifunctional and modular furniture, terminology, ergonomics and norms related to proposed functions are presented. The applied section offers design of the multipurpose chest of drawers that proposes a function of a work table as well as an open storage space. The design was created in compliance with the outlined theory. The outcome of presented work consists of series of visualisations created with the graphic program 3DS Max, technical documentation and constructed prototype.
