The communication of second grade pupils of elementary schools through pohotogrophy in digital enviromment

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the topic of communication of the children attending the second grade of primary school through digital photography. The theoretical part includes definitions of communication in narrower as well as broader sense and outlines its historical evolution. Famous communication models are introduced for the brief outline of the aspects of communication. The thesis describes social communication, its definitions, forms and functions, which it performs in society. The specific kind of communication is electronic communication, which is compared with regular communication. It explains as well its specific features, specifically synchronic and asynchronic communication tools. The thesis puts an emphasis on positives and obstacles with respect to electronic communication in the life of children and youth. The final chapter of the theoretical part works with the quantitative research realized by means of anonymous questionnaire, which focuses on today’s communication practices of our target group, concerning the communication through digital photography.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca sa venuje téme komunikácie prostredníctvom digitálnych fotografií u detí navštevujúcich druhý stupeň základných škôl. Teoretická časť práce zahŕňa definície komunikácie v užšom i širšom zmysle a načrtáva jej historický vývoj. Pre stručné načrtnutie prvkov komunikácie sú uvedené známe komunikačné modely. V práci je popisovaná aj sociálna komunikácia, jej definície, formy a funkcie, ktoré v spoločnosti plní. Špecifickým druhom komunikácie je elektronická komunikácia, ktorá je v práci porovnávaná s bežnou komunikáciou. Vysvetlené sú aj jej špecifické vlastnosti a konkrétne synchrónne a asynchrónne komunikačné nástroje. Osobitná pozornosť je venovaná pozitívam i úskaliam elektronickej komunikácie v živote detí a mládeže. Záverečná kapitola teoretickej časti práce sa venuje fotografii, jej historickému vývoju od analógovej až po digitálnu a elektronickým platformám, prostredníctvom ktorých je fotografie možné komunikovať. Praktická časť práce je venovaná kvantitatívnemu výskumu realizovaného pomocou anonymného dotazníka, ktorý sa zameriava na súčasné komunikačné praktiky našej cieľovej skupiny pri komunikovaní prostredníctvom digitálnych fotografií.
