Definition of the concept of place attachment

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce s názvem Vymezení konceptu place attachment se věnuje environmentálně-psychologickému konceptu vazby na místo. Teoretická část práce čerpá z širokého spektra zdrojů a podává ucelený pohled na tento koncept. Vztahuje se k samotnému konceptu z hlediska jeho historie a toho, jak na něj pohlíží různé vědecké přístupy a obory. Dále je zde proveden rozbor různých definic, přístupů k měření konceptu, základních teoretických témat a nakonec přehled oblastí aplikace konceptu. V empirické části bylo využito pěti dotazníků k měření konceptu od různých autorů. Dotazníky byly aplikovány spolu s dalšími vlastními otázkami vztahujícími se k vazbě na místo. Analýza zahrnuje srovnání dotazníků a jejich zhodnocení v rámci zjišťované reliability, konstruktové validity a položkové analýzy. Ověřována byla tedy také teoretická platnost zkoumaného konstruktu.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis named Definition of the concept of place attachment focuses on environmental psychology concept of place attachment. The theoretical part of this work draws from a wide range of sources and gives a comprehensive view of this concept. In refers to the concept itself in terms of its history and how it is taken into account of different scientific approaches and fields. There are also different definitions of the concept analyzed together with measuring approaches, theoretical background and finally an overview of two main application ways of the concept. There were five different questionnaires used in empirical part. These questionnaires were applied along with other items related to place attachment. The analysis includes a comparison of questionnaires by verifying reliability, construct validity and item analyses. The validity of the theoretical construct was therefore also examined.
