Kontrola predstavuje neoddeliteľnú zložku riadiaceho procesu. V súkromnom sektore je kontrola rizika stálou zložkou kontroly, ale vo verejnom sektore nie je uplatňovaná. Z tohto dôvodu sme sa rozhodli tejto problematike venovať diplomovú prácu, ktorá sa venuje kontrole rizika v samospráve SR, konkrétne v Banskobystrickom samosprávnom kraji.
