Abstract:

Práce aplikuje Weberův koncept charismatu na úspěšnou fotografii. Zaměřuje se na charisma prorocky zdůvodněné a na základě dosavadních studií vytváří rozsáhlou definici konceptu, pojímající charisma jako vztah odcizení mezi charismatickým lídrem a jeho následovníky. Na příkladě náboženské ikony ukazuje možnost přechodu charismatické autority na její vizuální reprezentaci. Ukazuje podobnost geneze a funkce uměnovědného konceptu ozvláštnění, objasňujícího úspěšnost uměleckého díla, s genezí a funkcí sociologického konceptu odcizení jakožto nezbytného předpokladu existence charismatického vztahu. Zpřehledňuje podobnost obsahu a doručení uměnovědného konceptu kýče s obsahem a doručením sociologického konceptu charismatu. Na základě zjištění sociologických studii věnujících se fotografii přesvědčuje o podobnosti obsahu a doručení populární fotografie s obsahem a doručením populární vize charismatického lídra. S využitím uměnovědných a sociologických konceptů práce na příkladě nejúspěšnější portrétní fotografie z populární internetové fotografické databáze přesvědčuje o podobnosti obsahu a doručení reprezentace úspěšné fotografie s obsahem a doručením vize charismatického lídra, a také o podobnosti vztahu mezi touto fotografií a jejími diváky se vztahem mezi charismatickým lídrem a jeho následovníky. Dochází k závěru, že charismatický vztah mezi obrazem a jeho diváky může existovat i přesto, že obraz přestává být vizuální reprezentací charismatického lídra.

Abstract:

The thesis applies Weber’s charisma concept on successful photography. It pays special attention to prophetically explained charisma and creates an extensive definition of the concept based on previous studies, approaching charisma as an alienating relationship between a charismatic leader and his followers. It uses an example of a religious icon to show the possibility of passing the charismatic authority to its visual representation. It points out the similarity between genesis and function of an art theory concept of distinction, explaining success of a piece of art, with genesis and function of a sociological concept of alienation as an indispensable prerequisite of the existence of a charismatic relationship. It presents an overview of the similarity of content and delivery of the art theory concept of kitsch with content and delivery of the sociological concept of charisma. Based on results of sociological studies dealing with photography the thesis proves the similarity of content and delivery of popular photography with content and delivery of popular vision of a charismatic leader. Using art theory and sociological working concept on the example of the most successful portrait photography from a popular internet database the thesis proves the similarity of content and delivery of representation of successful photography with the content and delivery of a vision of a charismatic leader and also the similarity of relationship between this photography and its viewers and the charismatic leader and his followers. The work comes to a conclusion that a charismatic relationship between a picture and its viewers can exist despite the fact that the picture stops being a visual representation of a charismatic leader.
