Comparison of foreign migration in the Czech Republic before and after entering the European Union.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o problematice zahraniční migrace na území České republiky. Práce nastiňuje historické souvislosti migrace na našem území v průběhu minulého století. Detailně pak analyzuje zahraniční migraci v ČR po roce 1993 až do vstupu České republiky do Evropské unie v roce 2004 a porovnává jí s obdobím po vstupu do EU až do současnosti. Zvláštní důraz je pak kladen na migraci nelegální. V závěru je nastíněn vývoj zahraniční migrace v příštích několika letech.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis discusses the topic of foreign immigration into the Czech Republic. The paper outlines the historical context of migration in our territory during the last century. Then it analyses in detail the foreign migration in the Czech Republic after 1993 until the country joined European Union in 2004 and compares it with the period after the entry into the EU until the present. Special emphasis is put on illegal migration. The final part outlines the trends in foreign migration in the following years.
