Participation of people in housing need to creation of the concept of social housing in Ostrava

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce zkoumá proces tvorby Koncepce sociální bydlení statutárního města Ostravy, kterou mohli ovlivnit samotní lidé v bytové nouzi (ti, kteří jsou ohroženi i ti, jež se v bytové nouzi již nachází). Teoretická část nabízí exploraci základních pojmů, které se tématu týkají jako sociální a prostorové vyloučení, bezdomovectví, ohrožené cílové skupiny, komunitní práce a zplnomocnění, reflexe trhu bydlení (pohled na Ostravský městský bytový fond a fond soukromých vlastníků, např. Residomo) a trhu práce (vyloučení z trhu práce). Aplikační část je zaměřena na realizaci kvalitativní výzkumné strategie, konkrétně použití metody zkoumání dokumentů, techniku studium dokumentů, během nichž je kladen důraz na analýzu formou otevřeného kódování a interpretaci analyzovaných dat. Cílem aplikační části jako celku je odpovědět na výzkumnou otázku týkající se, způsobu, kterým byly výstupy z fokusních skupin zapracovány do tvorby Koncepce sociálního bydlení statutárního města Ostravy.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis explores the formation of the Social Housing Conception of the Statutory City of Ostrava, this formation could be influenced by people in housing shortage (those who are at risk and those who are already in housing shortage). The theoretical part explores the basic terms of the thesis, such as social and spatial exclusion, homelessness, endangered target groups, community work and empowerment, housing market reflection (a look at the Ostrava City Housing Fund and the private owners' fund, eg Residomo) and the labour market (exclusion from the labour market). The research part focuses on the realization of a qualitative research strategy, namely the use of the method of document examination, the document study technique, during which the emphasis is laid on analysis by open coding and interpretation of the analyzed data. The aim of the practical part as a whole is to answer a research question on the way in which the outcomes from the focus groups were incorporated into the formation of the Social Housing Conception of the Statutory City of Ostrava.
