The Analysis of Activities of a Selected Organization Focused on Destination Management in the Czech Republic/Slovakia.

Anotace:

V teoretické části diplomová práce objasňuje pojmy cestovního ruchu – destinace, management, destinační management, organizace cestovního ruchu. Cílem je seznámit čtenáře se specifiky destinačního managementu, manažerským uspořádáním cestovního ruchu v České republice, největšími problémy při řízení destinace a současným stavem destinačního managementu v České republice. Cílem praktické části je porovnat dřívější způsob řízení cestovního ruchu v Plzni se zamýšleným způsobem řízení od roku 2014 a posoudit důvody vzniku nové organizace Plzeň –TURISMUS. Informace do teoretické části byly získávány studiem odborné literatury, na internetu, z databáze EBSCO. Informace do praktické části byly získávány od pracovníků organizace Plzeň – TURISMUS, z Koncepce rozvoje cestovního ruchu v Plzni na období 2014–2018, z vlastní bakalářské práce a z různých článků a statistických ročenek zveřejněných na internetu. Výsledkem práce je porovnání předpokladů s konkrétními zjištěními, učiněnými na základě posouzení skutečností. Dle stanoveného cíle jsem došla k závěru, že v řízení cestovního ruchu v Plzni muselo dojít ke změnám. Bylo velké množství odborů a organizací, které se staraly o cestovní ruch. Velkou silou v řešení tohoto problému byl projekt Evropské hlavní město kultury. A jediným řešením k úspěšné realizaci tohoto projektu bylo založení organizace, která se bude zabývat cestovním ruchem v Plzni celkově.

Abstract:

In the theoretical part the thesis explains the concepts of tourism - destination management, destination management, tourism organization. The aim is to acquaint the reader with the specifics of destination management, managerial organization of tourism in the Czech Republic, the biggest problems in managing the destination and the current state of destination management in the Czech Republic. The practical part is to compare the earlier way tourism management in Pilsen in the manner intended by management in 2014 and assess the reasons for the establishment of the new organization Pilsen -TURISMUS. Information in the theoretical section were obtained by studying professional literature, the Internet, from EBSCO database. Information in the practical part were collected from employees of the organization Pilsen - TOURISM, Concept of tourism development in Pilsen period 2014-2018, Bachelor of own work and from various articles and statistical yearbooks published on the Internet. The result is compared with assumptions specific findings reached on the basis of assessment of the facts. According to the defined objective, I concluded that the management of tourism in Pilsen had to be changed. It was a large number of unions and organizations that look after tourism. Great force in the solution of this problem was the project “European Capital of Culture”. And the only solution for the successful implementation of this project was the establishment of an organization that will deal with tourism in Pilsen overall.
