Diplomová práce se zabývá dvěma současnými americkými romány, konkrétně Prodigal Summer Barbary Kingsolverové a House Made of Dawn N. Scotta Momadaye. Práce v podstatě sleduje jednotlivé hrdiny na cestě „k sobě“, k čemuž využívá ekokritické perspektivy. Abstract:
The thesis uses the ecocritical lens to analyze two contemporary American novels, Barbara Kingsolver’s Prodigal Summer and N. Scott Momaday’s House Made of Dawn, focusing on the individual characters’ process of searching for their identity.
