Abstract:
The rumen is the largest stomach compartment of the gastrointestinal tract. Enzymatic and microbial decomposition of plant feed takes place in it. During metabolism in the rumen, methane, a major greenhouse gas, is produced. Bachor je najväčším z predžalúdkov tráviacej sústavy prežúvavcov. Do-chádza v ňom k enzymatickému a mikrobiálnemu rozkladu rastlinnej potravy. Počas metabolizmu v bachore dochádza k produkcii metánu, čo je významný skleníkový plyn.
