PSYCHOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF THE MOVEMENT TEACHING ON WEBSITES WITH A SCREEN READER

Abstract:

Disertační práce má název Psychologické aspekty výuky pohybu na internetových stránkách s odečítačem obrazovky. Hlavním cílem výzkumu je návrh a evaluace kurzu, s jehož pomocí by se nevidomí naučili pohybovat s odečítačem na internetu. Kurz internetu, který byl vytvořen v rámci disertační práce, je specifický tím, že byly při jeho tvorbě a realizaci zohledněny pedagogicko-psychologické aspekty. Kvalitativní výzkum je rozdělen do dvou etap. V první etapě byla navržena struktura kurzu internetu pro nevidomé uživatele odečítačů. Zároveň byly stanoveny pedagogicko psychologické aspekty, které jsou důležité pro realizaci kurzu internetu, neboť zohledňují následující skutečnost. Neexistuje jeden obecný postup, který by mohl nevidomý použít na každé webové stránce. Uživatelé výpočetní techniky, kteří nemohou při práci s internetem použít zrakovou percepci, se proto musí naučit kombinovat různé strategie, s jejichž pomocí se dostanou s odečítačem na webových stránkách k potřebným informacím. V druhé etapě kvalitativního výzkumu byl zmapován proces učení pohybu na internetu s odečítačem obrazovky u nevidomých s ohledem na zvolené pedagogicko-psychologické aspekty. Poté byla sepsána doporučení pro kurz pohybu na internetu, který je určený pro nevidomé uživatele screen-readerů. Mohou je využít lektoři kompenzačních pomůcek na bázi PC a také učitelé informatiky, kteří učí na speciálních školách i školách běžného typu.

Abstract:

The thesis is called Psychological aspects of the movement teaching on websites with a screen reader. The main goal of the research is a proposal and and evaluation of a course. With a help of this course blind people would learn to move on the Internet with the screen reader. The internet course, which was created within this thesis, is specific because pedagogical and psychological aspects were took into account during its creation. A qualitative research is devided into two phases. In the first phase, an Internet course structure for blind screen reader users was proposed. At the same time, pedagogical and psychological aspects were defined, these aspects are important for an Internet course realization as they take into consideration a following fact. A general method, which a blind person could use on each website, does not exist. Computer users, who cannot use a visual perception while using Internet, have to learn to combine different strategies and with a help of these strategies and the screen reader they access necessary information on websites. In the second phase of the qualitative research, a learning process of the movement on Internet with the screen reader with regard to selected pedagogical and psychological aspects was described. Afterwards, recommendations for the course of the movement on Internet, which is designated for blind screen reader users, were written. These recommendations can be used by teachers of compensatory aids based on PC and by computer science teachers who teach both at specialized schools and at common schools.
