Prestige of the field of social work through the eyes of attached public and social workers

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá postojem zainteresované veřejnosti a sociálních pracovníků k prestiži oboru sociální práce. V teoretické práci jsou vymezeny základní pojmy, jako např. postoj a jeho složky, zainteresovaná veřejnost a sociální pracovníci a prestiž. Metodologická část je zaměřena na metodu a strategii sběru dat, pro kterou byla zvolena kvalitativní výzkumná strategie. Hlavním cílem bylo zjistit, zda a čím se postoj obou skupin respondentů k prestiži oboru sociální práce liší nebo podobá.

Abstract:

This master’s thesis focuses on the attitude of attached public and social workers to the prestige of the field of social work. In the theoretical framework, the basic concepts are defined, e.g. attitude and its components, attached public and social workers, and prestige. The methodology focuses on the method and strategy of data collecting, for which the qualitative research strategy was chosen. The main aim was to explore if there are and if so, what are the differences and resemblances of the attitude of both groups of respondents to the prestige of the field of social work.
