Renovation of a 1960s commode and ecodesign assessment

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce mapuje práci Ing. Arch. Jiřího Jiroutky. Zaměřuje se na sektorový nábytek série U-450, produkovaný národním podnikem Interiéry Praha, konkrétně na komodu U-453. Na základě průzkumu trhu je zjištěna prodejní cena této komody dnes, ať už po renovaci nebo před ní, a také to, zda lze investovat do nábytku z doby minulé. V literární části se věnujeme tématu zátěže na životní prostředí. V rámci práce je proveden návrh výroby repliky této komody, spolu s kalkulaci nákladů na materiál. Hlavní kapitola práce je věnována samotné renovaci komody U-453, je popsán její postup a jsou vyhodnoceny náklady na tuto činnost. V závěru práce jsou porovnány všechny zjištěné poznatky.

Abstract:

This thesis maps the work of Ing. Arch. Jiří Jiroutek. It focuses on the U-450 series of sectional furniture produced by the national company Interiéry Praha, specifically on the U-453 commode. On the basis of market research, the selling price of this commode today, whether after or before renovation, is determined, as well as whether it is possible to invest in furniture from the past. In the literature section, the environmental burden is discussed. A proposal for the production of a replica of this commode is made, along with a calculation of the material costs. The main chapter of the thesis is devoted to the actual renovation of the U-453 commode, its procedure is described and the costs of this activity are evaluated. In the conclusion of the thesis all the findings are compared.
