The Relationship between moral competence, implicit performance motivation and indicators of real entrepreneurial performance of Czech entrepreneurs

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je zhodnocení souvislostí mezi morální kompetencí, implicitní výkonovou motivací a s indikátory reálného podnikatelského výkonu: délkou podnikání, ročním obratem firmy, počtem zaměstnanců a subjektivně vnímanou úspěšností. Zaměřil jsem se na otestování mediačního vztahu mezi morální kompetencí a reálným podnikatelským výkonem skrze výkonovou motivaci. Vzorek sestával ze 105 podnikatelů ČR. V řešení bylo použito metody MCT na změření morální kompetence a MMG na změření komponentů výkonu: očekávání úspěchu a strachu z neúspěchu. Pro každého respondenta byl vypočten C-skór (MCT) a hrubý skór obou komponentů výkonu (MMG). Data jsem zpracovával pomocí analýzy ordinální regrese a mediační analýzy. Provedeným výzkumem jsme zjistili, že mezi implicitní výkonovou motivací a indikátory reálného podnikatelského výkonu není vztah. Mezi morální kompetencí a implicitní výkonovou motivací také nebyl zjištěn vztah. Přínosem této práce je zjištění negativního vlivu morální kompetence na délku podnikání. Pravděpodobnost délky podnikání se sníží v závislosti na hodnotě morální kompetence 0,04 krát. Tato práce je řešena v kontextu podnikatelů ČR.

Abstract:

The aim of this study is the evaluation of relationship between moral competency, implicit performance motivation and indicators of real entrepreneurial performance: long-term business, annual turnover of the company, number of employees, percieved self-efficacy. The study focused on testing the mediational relationship between moral competence and real entrepreneurial performance through implicit performance motivation. The sample comprised of 105 Czech entrepreneurs. Each entrepreneur fulfilled the MCT to measure moral competency and MMG to measure the degree of need for achievement and fear of failure. The data were analysed using ordinal regression and mediation analysis. We found out that between implicit performance motivation and indicators of real entrepreneurial performance is no relationship. Between moral competence and implicit performance motivation also was not significant relationship. The main benefit of this study was finding that moral competence negatively influenced the longevity of business. Higher moral competence lowers the probability of long-term business by 0,04. This study is conducted in the entrepreneurial context of Czech Republic.
