Creativity Encouragement and Development in IT Organizations

Abstract:

Diplomová práce Podpora a rozvoj kreativity v IT organizacích je zaměřena na mapování způsobů, kterými můžou vedoucí vývojových týmů v IT firmách podpořit a rozvíjet kreativitu členů týmů. Cílem práce je zanalyzovat jednání vybraných vedoucích pracovních týmů při plnění úkolů, kterými se tým zabývá, a spokojenost členů s daným nastavením. Tato práce vznikla z důvodu potřeby kreativity v organizacích zaměřených na vývoj v rámci informačních technologií. Tyto firmy fungují ve vysoce konkurenčním a inovativním prostředí, a protože inovace jsou obecně často spojovány právě s kreativitou, je snahou této práce ukázat, jak ve vybraných firmách vedení kreativity vypadá. V teoretické části práce je zmíněný vývoj a definice kreativity, vliv organizačních podmínek na kreativitu a role vedoucího při rozvoji a podpoře kreativity. Empirická část obsahuje analýzu a interpretaci dat získaných z polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s vedoucími a členy týmu v šesti firmách, v závěru práce jsou jednotlivá zjištění konfrontována s aktuální odbornou literaturou.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis Creativity Encouragement and Development in IT Organizations is focused on mapping the ways in which IT team leaders can support and develop team members' creativity. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the behavior of selected management teams in fulfilling the tasks that the team deals with, and the satisfaction of the members with the given settings. This work was created because of the need for creativity in organizations focused on information technology development. These companies operate in a highly competitive and innovative environment, and because innovations are generally associated with creativity, it is an attempt to showcase how creative leadership looks at selected companies. The theoretical part of the thesis includes the development and definition of creativity, the influence of organizational conditions on creativity and the role of the leader in the encouragement and development of creativity. The empirical part contains the analysis and interpretation of the data obtained from semi-structured interviews with the leaders and members of the team in six companies, at the end of the thesis the individual findings are confronted with the current scholarly literature.
