Historical Restoration of the Landscape Structure

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá historickou obnovou krajinné struktury obce Viničné Šumice. Řešené území je v rozsahu katastrálního území obce, doplněné o navazující historické ovocné sady, které přímo hraničí s výstavbou a katastrální hranicí obce, avšak spadají již pod katastrální území obce Kovalovice.Úvod práce se zabývá problematikou historického vývoje krajiny, krajinným plánováním a rozvojem krajinné struktury, dále se zabývá analýzami primární, sekundární a terciální struktury krajiny. Pomocí provedených analýz, metodik a studia historických podkladů byl vytvořen celkový podklad pro tvorbu návrhu obnovy krajinné struktury obce Viničné Šumice.V návrhové části byly vytvořeny variantní scénáře budoucího možného vývoje krajiny, z nichž každý upřednostňuje či omezuje jiný okruh využívání území. Ochranářský scénář je založený na ochraně přírodních a kulturních hodnot v území, scénář rozvojový podporuje využívání území především pro ekonomickou výtěžnost na úkor krajiny a scénář vyrovnaný hledá harmonii mezi zachováním krajinného rázu a komerčním využitím území.V další fázi návrhové části byl na základě variantních scénářů vytvořen návrh obnovy historické krajinné struktury. Tento návrh především respektuje historickou důležitost přírodních a kulturních prvků, historické využívání území a snaží se tyto časem vymýcené prvky a hodnoty obnovit a navrátit tak do území původní obraz krajiny. Návrh respektuje polohu obce poblíž Brna, s kterou je spojeno rychlé rozšiřování výstavby nových domů, avšak tato výstavba musí být řešená ve správné rovnováze se zachováním historických a současných hodnot území a jeho krajinného rázu. Návrh řeší výsadbu původních alejí podél komunikací, stejně tak výsadbu historických ovocných sadů.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the historical restoration of the landscape structure of Viničné Šumice village, situated in the South Moravian region. The examined territory concerns the extent of the cadastral territory of the village, including the historic fruit orchards, which directly border with the construction and cadastral boundaries of the municipality, but which belongs to the cadastral territory of the next village of Kovalovice.The introduction of the thesis deals with issues of historical development of landscape, landscape planning and development of landscape structure. It deals also analyzes of primary, secondary and tertiary landscape structure. A general background for the creation of a proposal for restoration of the landscape structure of Viničné Šumice village has been provided using the previously undertaken analyzes, methodologies and studies of historical backgrounds.Various scenarios of future possibilities of landscape development have been created in the design part, each of which prioritizes or restricts another frame of the territory use. The conservation scenario is based on the protection of natural and cultural values present in the territory, the development scenario encourages the use of land primarily for economic purpose to the detriment of the landscape, and the balanced scenario seeks harmony between conservation of the landscape and commercial exploitation of the area.The following phase of the design part is based on the variant scenarios and it proposes a restoration of the historical landscape structure. In particular, this proposal respects the historical importance of natural and cultural features, the historical use of the area and seeks to recover the over-time eradicated elements and values in order to return the territory to its original landscape feature. The proposal respects the position of the municipality located in the proximity of Brno, the second biggest city of the Czech Republic, which is connected with the rapid expansion of the construction of new houses, but this construction must be solved in the right balance with preserving the historical and contemporary values of the territory and its landscape character. The proposal deals with the planting of the original alleys along the roads, as well as the planting of the historic fruit orchards.
