Tato diplomová práce se zabývá tématem využití břízy v lesním hospodářství. Konkrétně je sledován její potenciál při obsazování bývalých zemědělských pozemků. The topic of this thesis is the use of birch in the forestry. In depth the author deals with the potential of the cultivation of birch on the former agricultural land. In the first part of the thesis the key terms such as the succession, the differences between agricultural land and forestland and the use and cultivation of birch and afforestation are defined.
