Specifics of the Diagnosis of Primipara Vetus from a Midwife's Perspective

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce jsou specifika diagnózy primipara vetus z pohledu porodní asistentky. Primipara vetus je latinské označení pro „starou prvorodičku“, což je žena, která svého prvního potomka porodí ve věku 35 let a více. Teoretická část je zaměřena na reprodukční stárnutí, příčiny ženské neplodnosti, metody asistované reprodukce, metody prenatální diagnostiky a některé vrozené vývojové vady spjaté s vyšším věkem matky. Poslední rozsáhlá kapitola teoretické části se věnuje rizikové graviditě, neboť vyšší věk ženy je jedním z rizikových faktorů, který posouvá těhotenství ženy do skupiny rizikových gravidit. Praktická část zpracovává výsledky z kvantitativního průzkumu, který probíhal ve dvou etapách. První část průzkumu porovnává data z databáze porodů z Ústavu pro péči o matku a dítě z roku 2021. Druhá část kvantitativního průzkumu ověřuje získané informace pomocí dotazníkového šetření.

Abstract:

The topic of the bachelor thesis is the specifics of the diagnosis of primipara vetus from the perspective of a midwife. Primipara vetus is the Latin term for „old primiparous“, which is a woman who gives birth to her first child at the age of 35 and older. The theoretical part focuses on reproductive ageing, the causes of female infertility, methods of assisted reproduction, methods of prenatal diagnosis and some congenital developmental defects associated with older maternal age. The last extensive chapter of the theoretical part is devoted to risk pregnancy because the older age of woman is one of the risk factors that move a woman’s pregnancy into a group of high-risk pregnancies The practical part elaborates the results from the quantitative survey. The quantitative survey is divided into two parts. The first part compares data from the Institute for Mother and Child Care's 2021 birth database. The second part of the quantitative research verifies the information obtained using a questionnaire survey.
