Foreign Words in Music Magazines

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis was to analyze the foreign expressions, which can be found in Spanish vocabulary, in the lexical field of music. The thesis is divided into two basic parts ? the theoretical and the practical. In the first part, we have focused on the evolution of the Spanish vocabulary in terms of the impact of the foreign languages. Then we have paid attention to the determination of notions related to this query. We have concentrated mainly on loan-words and foreign words because these elements constitute an essential part in the process of the adoption of foreign words. Also, we have not forgotten to mention such concepts as calques, xenisms and hybrids. In the second part, we have created the Spanish-Czech glossary of foreign words. Our sources have been based on several Spanish music magazines available both printed and online. Based on the following research, we have found out the most frequent origins of foreign words used in the field of music and afterwards, we have commented these findings.

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce bylo analyzovat slova cizího původu, která se vyskytují ve španělské slovní zásobě v oblasti hudby. Práce je rozdělena na dvě základní části ? teoretickou a praktickou. V teoretické části byl zkoumán vývoj španělské slovní zásoby z hlediska vlivu cizích jazyků. Dále byly vymezeny pojmy, jež souvisejí s danou problematikou. Práce byla doplněna o komentáře týkajících se především výpůjček a cizích slov, jelikož tyto prvky tvoří důležitou součást v procesu přejímaní slov z cizích jazyků. Byly zmíněny také další výrazy jako jsou kalky, xenismy a hybridy. V praktické části byl vytvořen španělsko-český glosář cizích slov, jehož zdrojem byly španělské hudební časopisy dostupné buď v tištěné formě nebo na internetu. Na základě následné analýzy těchto pojmů jsme došli k poznatkům, ze kterých bylo možné určit nejčastější původ cizích slov užívaných ve slovní zásobě spojené s hudbou, a následně byly tyto závěry okomentovány.
