Adjustment of the current strategy of cheerleading in the Czech Republic with focus on competitive athletes and national representation towards youth and school sports

Abstract:

Tato kvalifikační práce přináší doporučení České asociaci cheerleaders (ČACH) k úpravě stávající strategie řízení členské základny ČACH. Pracuje se statistickými daty a porovnává vybrané země. Polostrukturované rozhovory se zástupci národních federací používá v rámci kvalitativního výzkumu. Prověřuje vztah mezi školním sportem na prvním stupni a následně budoucím úspěchem národní reprezentace na vrcholných mezinárodních soutěžích. Hlavní výzkumná otázka se v průzkumu nepotvrdila. Nelze jednoznačně potvrdit vztah mezi investicemi cheerleadingové federace do školních projektů a jejich vlivu na úspěchy státní reprezentace. Vedlejší výzkum popisuje negativa stávající strategie ČACH, nové skutečnosti a hledá příklady dobré praxe v zahraničí. Výstupy z provedených analýz budou předloženy Prezidiu ČACH. Vedlejším a neméně významným efektem této kvalifikační práce je přesah do praxe v podobě zahájení spolupráce ČACH na třech mezinárodních projektech: 1) Realizace oficiálního průzkumu a sběru aktuálních dat o členských zemích European Cheer Union. 2) Iniciována spolupráce tří evropských zemí na přípravě projektu cheerleadingu ve škole s výhledem financování v rámci projektu Erasmus Plus Sport. 3) Vyjednána spolupráce v oblasti metodiky pro safeguarding v cheerleadingu.

Abstract:

This qualification thesis brings recommendations to the Czech Association of Cheerleaders (ČACH) to modify the current strategy of managing the ČACH membership base. Works with statistical data, compares selected countries. Semi-structured interviews with representatives of chosen national federations are used as part of qualitative research. It examines the relationship between school sports at the first level and subsequently the future success of the national team at top international championships. The direct relationship was neither confirmed nor denied by the author of the work. Secondary research describes the negatives of the current ČACH strategy, new facts and looks for examples of good practice abroad. The outputs from the performed analyzes will be submitted to the Board members of the Czech Association of Cheerleaders. A secondary and no less significant effect of this qualification work is the overlap into practice in the form of opening international cooperation of Czech cheerleading on three new projects: 1) Realization of an official survey and collection of current data from all member countries of the European Cheer Union. 2) Initiated cooperation between three European countries on the preparation of a primary school cheerleading project with the prospect of funding within the Erasmus Plus Spor. 3) Negotiated cooperation in the area of methodology for safeguarding in cheerleading.
