Rationalization of the pick-up and delivery activities in the selected company

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá svozně-rozvozními aktivitami ve společnosti MB – Sving s. r. o. a navrhuje, jak tyto aktivity zefektivnit. Jejím hlavním cílem je analyzovat stávající svozně-rozvozní aktivity a navrhnout patřičná opatření v kontextu zefektivnění daných činností s jejich technicko-ekonomickým zhodnocením. Práce je rozdělena do dvou hlavních částí – teoretické a aplikační. V teoretické části jsou objasněny významy pojmů logistika, doprava, distribuce a operační výzkum, které souvisejí s problematikou racionalizace logistických procesů uvnitř podniku. V aplikační části je představena vybraná společnost a její současné rozvozové trasy, které slouží k distribuci gastronomických produktů. Tyto trasy jsou dále optimalizovány pomocí metod operačního výzkumu, konkrétně: Maďarské metody, Vogelovy aproximační metody, metody nejbližšího souseda a pomocí plánovače tras Routin. V závěru aplikační části se nachází technicko-ekonomické zhodnocení, kde jsou jednotlivé výsledky optimalizace prostřednictvím vybraných metod komparovány. Jsou vybrány nové optimalizované trasy, které jsou předloženy vybranému podniku.

Abstract:

This thesis considers pick-up and delivery activities in a company called MB – Sving s. r. o. and proposes, how to make these activities more efficient. The main goal of the thesis is to provide an analysis of current pick-up and delivery activities and to propose appropriate measures in the context of optimization of these activities with their technical and economical evaluation. The thesis is divided into two parts – the theoretical and the application one. In the theoretical part, the meanings of terms logistics, transport, distribution, and operational research related to the issues of streamlining of logistics processes in an enterprise are clarified. In the application part, the chosen company and its current delivery routes, which are used to distribute gastronomic products, are presented. These routes are then optimized using operational research methods, in particular: the Hungarian method, the Vogel's approximation method, the Nearest neighbor method and the route-planning application Routin. In the conclusion of the application part, the technical and economical evaluation is presented and the individual results of the optimization methods are compared. New optimized routes are selected and presented to the chosen company.
