Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá reformou referenčních úrokových sazeb. Soustředí se zejména na přechod z USD LIBOR na SOFR. První část práce se věnuje rozdílům mezi IBOR a RFR sazbami. Druhá část analyzuje krátkodobé úrokové sazby na americkém peněžním trhu, měnověpolitické nástroje Fed, a TED spread. Třetí část popisuje přechod z USD LIBOR na SOFR a ukazuje nedostatky SOFR. Ve čtvrté části práce je aproximována kreditní prémie a jsou navrženy nové indikátory rizika na trhu. V poslední části práce je cílem navrhnout řešení otázky: „Jak nahradit PRIBOR, pokud by jeho publikace byla ukončena?“ Toho je dosáhnuto pomocí rovnice kryté úrokové parity a Nelson-Siegel-Svensson modelu.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis is concerned with benchmark reform. The thesis focuses on transition from USD LIBOR to SOFR. The first part of this thesis is centered on differences between IBOR and RFR rates. The second part analyses short-term interest rates in the American money market, Fed’s monetary policy tools, and TED spread. The third part describes the transition from USD LIBOR to SOFR and shows limitations of SOFR. Credit premium is estimated in the fourth part, as well as new indicators of risk in the market. The aim of the last part is to propose a solution to the following question: “How to replace PRIBOR, should its publication be ceased?” This is achieved by using covered interest rate parity equation and Nelson-Siegel-Svensson model.
