Electrical Strength of Liquid Insulators as a Diagnostic Parameter

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá problematikou kapalných izolant? Jejím cílem je rozebrat jejich vlastnosti a porovnat je z hlediska odolnosti vůči elektrickému přeskoku formou napěťových zkoušek. Úvod charakterizuje činitele, jenž ovlivňují chování kapalin při vystavení intenzitě elektrického pole a defnují rozdíly jednotlivých druhů transformátorových olejů. Pro bližší pochopení jevů spojených se samotným přeskokem jsou zde popsány základní hypotézy z oblasti teorie přeskoku. Důraz je kladen na shrnutí směrů, které se pokoušejí zlepšit efektivitu izolačních kapalin a zmírnit dopad na životní prostředí. Velký potenciál v tomto ohledu představuji nové technologie aplikované na izolační média transformátorů, které jsou zde popsány. Naměřené hodnoty v závěru práce potvrzují dvě hypotézy. Za prvé, degradační činitelé mají významný vliv na elektrickou pevnost kapalných izolantů. Za druhé, přírodní estery dosahují v rámci hodnot průrazných napětí podobných výsledků jako minerální oleje.

Abstract:

This thesis concerns the problematic of liquid insulators. The aim of the paper is to analyze its properties and compare the liquids in terms of resistance to electrical flashover by executing the tests of electric strength. The factors that affects behavior of liquids and defines differences between individual transformer oils have been characterized in the beginning. For deeper understanding of phenomena related to voltage breakdown, the general hypotheses have been also described. The emphasis is given on summarizing ways that try to improve the effectiveness of liquid insulators and reduce their impact on the environment. New technologies applied to the insulating media, which have been also discussed, uncovers a lot of potential in this matter. Experimental part of the thesis is based on measurement of new and aged oil samples. Collected data proves two hypotheses. Firstly, the degradation factors described in this paper hihgly affect the electric strength of liquid insulators and secondly, natural esters have similar properties in terms of breakdown voltage as mineral oils.
