Anotácia:

This Master’s Thesis deals with the comparison of the US counter-terrorism strategies during the presidencies of George W. Bush Jr. and Donald Trump. As both presidents were from the Republican Party, the main purpose is to analyze and compare these strategies to understand how their administrations addressed terrorism. After the attacks of September 11, 2001, the threat of terrorism became the top priority for the US. The text mainly covers the period of 2001-2020. The primary sources are the doctrinal documents, interviews, and speeches. The conclusion tries to evaluate to what extent the approaches of both administrations differ.
