The Taxation of Income from Capital Assets of Individual Entrepreneurs and Non-Entrepreneurs in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je analýza zdanění příjmů z kapitálového majetku fyzických osob podnikatelů a nepodnikatelů v České republice. Teoretická část stručně popisuje finanční trh a jednu z jeho složek trh cenných papírů a legislativní vymezení jeho instrumentů. Teoretická pasáž je zakončena problematikou zdanění kapitálového majetku včetně pojmů, které se v daňové oblasti často vyskytují. V praktické části jsou analyzovány případy daňového zatížení u podnikajících a nepodnikajících fyzických osob. Na závěr jsou poznatky shrnuty a jsou navrhnuta doporučení pro přístup ke zdaňování kapitálového majetku.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the income tax on capital assets of natural persons entrepreneurs as well as non-entrepreneurs in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part briefly describes the financial market and one of its components securities market and the legislative framework of its instruments. This section is concluded with the issue of taxation of capital assets, including terms frequently used in the taxation field. The practical part analyzes cases of tax burdens imposed on natural persons entrepreneurs and non-entrepreneurs. In the end, the findings are summarized and followed by suggestions regarding the capital assets taxation approach.
