Experimental methods of explosive parameter determination applicable for validation of theoretical predictions

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je vybrat experimentální metody měření parametrů výbušin, použitelných pro kalibraci, nebo porovnání s hodnotami těchto parametrů vypočtenými termodynamickými výpočetními programy. Teoretická část obsahuje stručný popis detonace, vývoj modelů pro přiblížení jejího průběhu a jak jsou tyto modely používány pro predikce parametrů ve výpočetních programech. Dále jsou v teoretické části popsány různé metody měření různých parametrů výbušin.Experimentální část obsahuje popis přístrojů použitých k měření vybraných parametrů výbušin, dále popis experimentálních uspořádání těchto provedených metod a způsoby vyhodnocení naměřených výsledků. Ve výsledkové části jsou porovnány výsledky jednotlivých metod mezi sebou a s hodnotami vypočtenými programem EXPLO 5 (verze 6.0.4.). Také jsou diskutovány jednotlivé techniky vzhledem k opakovatelnosti výsledků a uživatelské náročnosti na provedení. Závěr shrnuje práci, splnění jejích cílů a diskuzi o budoucím pokračování výzkumu pro zjednodušení a zpříjemění vývoje a charakterizace nových výbušin.

Abstract:

The aim of this work is to select experimental methods of measuring the parameters of explosives, which can be used for calibration, or comparison with the values of these parameters calculated by thermodynamic computing programs. The theoretical part contains a brief description of detonation, the development of models to simplify its behavior and how these models are used for parameter predictions in computer programs. Furthermore, in the theoretical part, various methods of measuring various parameters of explosives are described.The experimental part contains a description of the instruments used to measure selected parameters of the explosives, a description of the experimental setups of these performed methods and ways of evaluating the measured results. In the results section, the results of the individual methods are compared with each other and with the values calculated by the EXPLO 5 program (version 6.0.4.). Individual techniques are also discussed with regard to the repeatability of the results and the user-friendliness of preparation. The conclusion summarizes the work, the fulfillment of its objectives and a discussion of the future continuation of research to simplify and improve the development and characterization of new explosives.
