Aesthetic evaluation of selected textbooks of Civics

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá učebnicí jako edukačním konstruktem, teorií, funkcemi. Zaměřena je na vybrané učebnice Výchovy k občanství, nejčastěji používané na druhém stupni základních škol. Práce se soustředí na vizuální vzhled učebnic, neverbální prvky, jež ovlivňují estetické vnímání subjektů v průběhu vzdělávacího procesu. V teoretické části je popsána teorie učebnic, koncept Výchovy k občanství, estetická výchova a spojitost mezi kultivací osobností žáka a grafickou podobou učebnic. Jádrem práce je hodnocení dvou typů učebnic, srovnání odlišných kvalit obrazového materiálu. Hodnoceno bylo osm učebnic podle evaluačního rastru, který je zaměřen na neverbální stránku učebnic. Jednotlivé učebnice jsou podrobeny základnímu hodnocení, analýzou obsahu a obrazového materiálu. Základní otázkou je, zda učebnice plní estetickou funkci.

Abstract:

The work deals with textbook as an educational construct, theories and functions. It is focused on selected textbooks of civics, most used in secondary schools. Work will concentrate on the visual appearance of textbooks, nonverbal cues that affect the aesthetic perception of subjects during the educational process. The theoretical part describes the theory of textbooks, the concept of citizenship education, aesthetic education and the link between the cultivation of personality student and graphic design for books. The core of the study is to evaluate two types of textbooks, comparison of different qualities of pictorial material. Eight textbooks were evaluated according to the evaluation grid, which is focused on nonverbal page textbooks. Individual textbooks are subject to basic assessment, analysis of the content and images. The basic question is whether textbooks aesthetically pleasing.
