Organizational education system analysis focusing on younger and older employees’ educational needs

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce zkoumá problematiku naplnění vzdělávacích potřeb zaměstnanců pod 30 a nad 45 let v konkrétní organizaci soukromého sektoru. Hlavní výzkumnou otázkou práce je: „Jak se liší naplnění vzdělávacích potřeb mladších a starších pracovníků v rámci vzdělávacího systému organizace soukromého sektoru?“, přičemž jsou formulovány i dílčí výzkumné otázky, jejichž zodpovězení napomáhá lepší orientaci v problematice; práce se zabývá čtyřmi základními tématy, a to tím, jaké u daných pracovníků existují vzdělávací potřeby, do jaké míry jsou naplněny, jak jsou zaměstnanci ochotni se vzdělávat a zda se cítí ve vzdělávacím systému diskriminováni, přičemž všechna tato témata jsou zkoumána v kontextu rozdílů mezi jednotlivými věkovými kategoriemi. Práce je rozdělena na 3 základní části – teoretickou, která poskytuje základní vhled do tématu a definuje pojmy, se kterými se dále pracuje, metodologickou, ve které je popsán design kvantitativního výzkumu prováděného formou dotazníku, a empirickou, ve které jsou analyzována data, testovány hypotézy a interpretovány výsledky; v diskusi je poté zodpovězeno na výzkumné otázky.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis investigates the fulfillment of educational needs of employees under 30 and over 45 years of age in a private sector organization. The main research question of the thesis is: “How does the fulfillment of educational needs in the organizational education system differ among younger and older employees?“, and there are also partial questions that need to be answered in order to better understand the subject; the four main topics of the research are – which educational needs exist among the employees, how are they fulfilled, how are the employees willing to participate in the education system and if they are feeling discriminated in the education system; all of these are analyzed within the context of age differences between the examined age groups. The thesis is divided into three parts – theoretical, which provides the topic’s outline and defines the concepts which are further examined, methodological, which describes the quantitative study’s design that was carried out using a questionnaire, and empirical, which analyzes the data, tests the hypotheses and interprets the results. In the discussion, the research questions are answered.
