Tato diplomová práce pojednává o úloze médií v procesu tvorby veřejné politiky a jejich vzájemném vztahu. V jedné části rozebírá faktory, ovlivňující činnost médií, vymezení samotného pojmu média a dalších souvisejících pojmů.
