Syntactical characteristic of a book by a chosen author of contemporary Czech literature

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá syntaktickou charakteristikou díla vybraného autora současné české literatury. K analýze bylo použito dílo Milana Kundery Nesnesitelná lehkost bytí. První část diplomové práce popisuje umělecký funkční styl a charakterizuje Milana Kunderu a jeho dílo. V další části jsou teoreticky popsána vymezená kritéria zkoumání, která budou zohledněna při vlastní analýze. Posledním krokem je analýza textu na základě zmíněných kritérií a vyhodnocení výsledků.

Abstract:

This master thesis focuses on syntactical characteristic of a book by a selected author of contemporary Czech literature. The work of Milan Kundera, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, was used for analysis. The first part describes the belles- letters style and characterizes the author Milan Kundera and his work. The second part describes the criteria for examining that will be taken into account in the analysis. The third part of this work is syntactical characteristic of the book The Unbearable Lightness of Being. This analysis is in accordance with the stated criteria for examining. This part summarizes results made by own analysis. The last task is evaluation of these results.
