Tourist potential of Silesia

Abstract:

Silesia, along with its Silesian beskydy mountains, has been flourishing in terms of tourism on both. Sides of the border - Polish and Czech. The main goals of this paper are to presents the tourist potential of the Tesin/Cieszyn Silesia and to assess what is offered to tourists who wish to spend their free time more or less actively. It has also been pointed out how this region and visitors themselves benefit from tourism. There are presented some of the tourists routes-both pedestrian as well as cycling, the most favored and popular places, tourist attractions and sanatoriums in the region. The paper compares accomodation opportunities on both sides of the border, the kind of accomodation and the amount of available information.

Abstract:

Slezsko a jeho pohoří Slezských Beskyd od počátku 21. století zažívají obrovský rozvoj ve všech odvětvích turistiky po obou stranách státní hranice, jak polské tak i české. Cílem této práce je představení turistického potenciálu Těšínského Slezska a zjištění jaké nabídky a služby jsou zde dostupné pro turisty, kteří chtějí strávit svůj volný čas aktivně nebo odpočinkem a uvedení přínosu turistiky pro region i samotné návštěvníky. Dalším záměrem je představení některých turistických tras, jak pěších, tak i cyklistických, nejoblíbenější a nejnavštěvovanější místa, atrakce a léčebny v regionu. Porovnání možností ubytování se na polské nebo české straně Slezska, druhu ubytovacích míst nebo přístup a množství dostupných informací.
