Abstract:
This thesis examines the life and military experience of legionnaire Karel Svačina, a member of the 2nd Czechoslovak Rifle Regiment “Jiří z Poděbrad,” whose military career began in the Austro-Hungarian army. It explores his service in the Czechoslovak Legions in Russia between 1914 and 1920.
