Consolidation of public finance in selected countries and its influence on financial investors and rating agencies

Abstract:

Předmětem bakalářské práce je zhodnocení míry vlivu konsolidací veřejných financí na vnímání daných zemí finančními investory (skrze výnosy vládních dluhopisů) a ratingovými agenturami (skrze udělované ratingové známky). V první části práce seznamuji čtenáře s teorií veřejných financí, ratingu a s cenou veřejného dluhu. V praktické části práce analyzuji vývoj ratingového hodnocení ve vybraných zemích ruku v ruce s vývojem veřejných financí a výnosy státních dluhopisů. Po provedení statistické analýzy čtenáři demonstruji vliv konsolidace veřejných financí, respektive vývoj salda a dluhu veřejných rozpočtů ve vybraných státech, na výnosy dluhopisů a změny ratingů.

Abstract:

The focus of this bachelor thesis is on an evaluation of an impact of public finance consolidation on perceptiveness of selected countries by financial investors (via yields of goverment bonds) and by rating agencies (via rating grades). In the first part of the thesis, the reader is acquianted with the theory of public finance and rating and also with the value of a public debt. Then, the practical part analyzes the development of rating evaluation in selected countries together with the development of public finance and the value of a public debt. The statistical analysis demonstrates an impact of the public finance consolidation, or more precisely the development of a budget balance and public debt in selected states, on the yields of government bonds and changes in ratings.
