Sacred music of Jesuit missions in Domenico Zipoli´s work
Abstract:
Práce se zabývá významem duchovní hudby v jezuitských redukcích Paraguaye, především pak dílem a životem italského barokního hudebního skladatele Domenica Zipoliho. Dokumentuje jeho dětství, skladatelské začátky, pobyt v Římě, jeho pravděpodobné motivace pro vstup do jezuitského řádu a působení v Latinské Americe. Součástí práce je seznam jeho díla.
Abstract:
This thesis deals with the importance of sacred music in the Jesuit reductions of Paraguay, especially with the life and work of the Italian baroque composer Domenico Zipoli. It illustrates his childhood, his early days as a composer, his stay in Rome, likely motivations for entering the Jesuit order and his influence in Latin America. The list of Zipoli's works is included.
