Child abuse in family and its perception among pupils of upper primary and secondary schools

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se v teoretické části zabývá rodinou ve smyslu její funkčnosti a působení stresu na rodinu jakožto i postavením dítěte v průběhu dějin a také vývojovými potřebami v kontextu týrání. Zaměřujeme se zde rovněž na výčet rizikových faktorů týrání na straně dítěte, dospělého i na rizikové situace a prostředí, ve kterém se rodina může ocitnout a které mohou podněcovat týrání dítěte. Jádro naší práce pak představuje popis syndromu CAN, jeho jednotlivé formy (fyzické a psychické týrání, sexuální zneužívání, zanedbávání a zvláštní formy) a možnosti jeho detekce. Dalším okruhy našeho zájmu v této práci představují důsledky týrání a možnosti pomoci obětem týrání. Poslední teoretickou oblastí popsanou v této bakalářské práci je prevence týrání dítěte a její typy. Empirická část naší práce představuje výzkumné šetření, jehož cílem bylo určení percepce týrání dítěte v rodině žáků II. stupně ZŠ a SŠ. Výzkumné vzorky představovali žáci Základní školy Radošovce a žáci Soukromé střední odborné školy podnikání v Senici. Kromě zaznamenání percepce tohoto jevu u žáků jednotlivých škol jsme se zaměřili na zjišťování rozdílů v percepci těchto dvou skupin žáků. V empirické části práce popisujeme jednotlivé kroky od sběru dat až po zaznamenání výsledků našeho výzkumného šetření.

Abstract:

A theoretical part of this bachelor thesis deals with a family in the meaning of its functionality and an impact of stress onto it as well as a role of a child throughout history and also with child development needs in a context of an abuse. We focus on listing risk factors of the maltreatment for children, adults as well as risk situations and an environment in which families can end up and which can provoke the child abuse. The core of our thesis is then represented by description of a CAN syndrome, its particular forms (the physical and psychical maltreatment, the sexual abuse, the neglect and specific forms) and possibilities of its detection. Another scope of our interest in this thesis is represented by consequences of the maltreatment and possibilities to help victims. The final theoretical area that is described in this thesis is the prevention and its forms. The empirical part of this thesis is represented by the research and investigation in practise. The goal was to determine the perception of child abuse inside the family in junior high school and high school students. Our research samples represent students of ZS Radosovce and SSOSP Senica. Besides, that we register this fact in students of particular schools, we focused on finding out the difference in perception with these two groups. The empirical part describes particular steps from data collection till writing down the results.
