Exibitions of inequality in the labour market from a gender perspective

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá genderovou problematikou, konkrétně diskriminací žen na trhu práce z hlediska mateřství. Je rozdělená do dvou částí, první část ? teoretická má za cíl seznámit čtenáře se základními pojmy, vztahujícími se k problematice genderu, diskriminace, nerovnosti na trhu práce, popisuje možnosti harmonizace rodinného a pracovního života. Druhá část ? praktická zkoumá pomocí kvantitativního výzkumu trh práce v Ostravě z hlediska diskriminace žen. Cílem praktické části je zmapovat konkrétní situaci na trhu práce z hlediska genderové nerovnosti, konkrétně zda jsou ženy na trhu práce v Ostravě diskriminovány kvůli mateřství. Práce je zaměřená na ženy bezdětné a ženy s dětmi ve věku 0 ? 15 let. Výsledky výzkumu podávají komplexní závěry o současném stavu žen na trhu práce v Ostravě.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with gender issues, specifically discrimination against women on the labour market in terms of motherhood. It is divided into two parts, the first part is theoretical. aims is to acquaint the reader with the basic concepts related to the issue of gender discrimination, inequality on the labour market, describes the possibilities of harmonization of work and family life. The second part is practical and examines, by quantitative research, the labour market in Ostrava in terms of discrimination against women. The practical part is to map the specific situation on the labour market in terms of gender inequality, specifically whether women are discriminated because of motherhood, on the labour market in Ostrava. The work is focused on childless women and women with children aged 0-15 years. The research results submit comprehensive conclusions about the current state of women in the labour market in Ostrava.
