Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce bylo určit skutečnou tržní hodnotu za akcii společnosti Netflix Inc. k 29. dubnu 2019 z pohledu externí analýzy. Hodnota společnosti Netflix Inc. byla ohodnocená dvěma různými metodami k 29. dubnu 2019. Na základě stanovené hodnoty společnosti byla určena hodnota akcií a poté srovnána se skutečností. Ocenění bylo provedené pouze jako externí analýza, a tudíž pouze veřejně dostupné zdroje byly použity. Diplomová práce je rozdělena do dvou hlavních částí. V teoretické části je probrán proces oceňovací metodologie. Praktická část začíná seznámením se společností, strategickou analýzou a následně proces oceňování navazuje na teoretický rámec. Oceňovací model na bázi předplatitelů byl použit jako primární oceňovací model. Poměr hodnoty firmy proti EBITDA několika jiných srovnatelných veřejně obchodovatelných firem sloužil jako sekundární oceňovací model.

Abstract:

The aim of the presented diploma thesis is to determine the fair market value per share of Netflix Inc., as of April 29th, 2019 from the perspective of an external analyst. The value of company Netflix Inc. assessed with two different methods as of April 29th, 2019. Based on determined enterprise value, the share price is set and compared to reality. The valuation performed from the position of external analysis, therefore only publicly available information is used. The diploma thesis is divided into two main parts. In the Theoretical Part, the valuation methodology and process are discussed. The Practical Part starts with the introduction of the company, strategic analysis and consequently, the valuation process follows the theoretical framework. The subscribers’ model would be used as the primary valuation approach. The enterprise value to EBITDA multiple of comparable publicly traded companies served as the second valuation method.
