The interpretation of puppetry in relation to tourism.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá interpretací loutkářství v České republice jako nehmotného kulturního dědictví. Cílem bakalářské práce je zjistit, jak je loutkářství interpretováno návštěvníkům a zda tato tradice může být turistickou atraktivitou. Teoretická část je věnována popisu kulturního cestovního ruchu, nehmotného kulturního dědictví, českých nehmotných kulturních statků zapsaných na seznamu UNESCO a jejich ochraně. Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na loutkářství, jeho historický vývoj v České republice. Dále popisuje významné instituce a spolky loutkářství v České republice. Práce vysvětluje především pojem interpretace v cestovním ruchu. První část výzkumu je založena na analýze a popisu jednotlivých metod intepretace nabízených v loutkářství. K hlavní části výzkumu byla aplikována kvantitativní metoda ve formě dotazníků. Do dotazníkové šetření byli zapojeni návštěvníci Muzea loutkářských kultur v Chrudimi. V závěru práce hodnotí, jak je tradice loutkářství vnímána společností, jaké způsoby interpretace se jeví jako nejúčinnější a zda může být loutkářství atraktivitou kulturního cestovního ruchu.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis investigates the interpretation of puppetry in the Czech Republic as an intangible cultural heritage, which is inscribed in the Representative list of the UNESCO. This paper aims to present an analysis of how puppetry is interpreted to visitors and whether this tradition can be a tourist attraction. The theoretical part is dedicated to the description of cultural tourism, cultural heritage, intangible cultural heritage, Czech intangible cultural items inscribed on the UNESCO list and the protection of them. The bachelor thesis is oriented at puppetry, its historical development in the Czech Republic and it also describes important institutions and associations of puppetry in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, the paper explains the concept of interpretation in tourism. The first part of the research is based on the analysis of individual methods of puppetry interpretation. Data for the second part of the research were obtained with the help of Museum of puppetry in Chrudim. Questionnaires were distributed to visitors of the museum. In conclusion, the paper evaluates how the tradition of puppetry is perceived by the society and which methods of interpretation seem to be the most effective.
