Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá německými deminutivy a jejich českými ekvivalenty ve vybraném literárním díle. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část se zabývá popisem charakteristikou deminutiv a jejich tvořením jak v německém tak českém jazyce. Jsou objasněny pojmy syntetická a analytická deminuce.
