Development od Additional Sevices in the Hotels as a Source of Income

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou doplňkových služeb, které jsou poskytovány hostům při pobytu v hotelech. Hlavním cílem této diplomové práce je na příkladu hotelu Barceló Old Town provést analýzu nabídky doplňkových služeb, zhodnotit, jak se tyto služby podílejí na celkovém zisku podniku, a také navrhnout opatření, která povedou ke zvýšení celkové výnosnosti hotelu na bázi rozvoje těchto služeb. Dalším cílem je zjistit, které služby by měl hotel Barceló vybudovat, aby mohl usilovat o přechod ze 3. třídy Superior na 4. třídu. Ke splnění těchto cílů byl zpracován marketingový plán, který v sobě zahrnuje diagnostiku produktového portfolia hotelu, analýzu příjmů a výdajů, SWOT analýzu, analýzu konkurence, hodnocení potřeb zákazníků a hodnocení efektivnosti investic.

Abstract:

This Master’s Dissertation focuses on the analysis of additional services that are provided to the guests staying at the hotel. The main aim of my Dissertation is on the example of Barceló Old Town hotel to conduct an analysis of the supplementary services, to appreciate how these services contribute to the overall profit of the company and also suggest measures which will increase the overall profitability based on the developing these services. Another goal is to determine which services should Barceló develop in order to pursue the transition from the 3rd class Superior to the 4th class. To fulfill these objectives has been elaborated the marketing plan that incorporates the diagnostic of portfolio products, cost-benefit analysis, SWOT analysis, competitive analysis, evaluation of customer needs and evaluating the effectiveness of investments.
