Varieties of the voseo in Argentina

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá variantami vosea v Argentině, jediné zemi, kde tento jev tvoří součást jazykové normy a je zcela akceptovaný společností. Konkrétně řeší dvě oblasti, které se od sebe, co se týče formy vosea, liší. Tyto oblasti jsou provincie Santiago del Estero a Buenos Aires. Teoretická část práce se zabývá stručným popisem toho jevu a jeho charakteristickými vlastnostmi. Dále je zde historická část popisující původ vosea ve Španělsku, až po jeho počátky a následné přijetí v Americe, konkrétně v Argentině. Část věnující se etice a metodologii výzkumu blíže popisuje, jakým způsobem byl zajištěn sběr dat a ochrana osobních údajů. Praktickou část otevírá rozdělení Argentiny na oblasti dialektů, aby pak již bylo možné podrobněji přejít k již výše zmíněným provinciím a jejich srovnání. Celou práci doprovází řada příkladů nasbíraných v průběhu výzkumu a jejich následné zpracování.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the variations of voseo in Argentina, the only country where this phenomenon is a part of the language standards and is fully accepted by the society. More specifically describes two areas which are different regarding the form of voseo. These areas are the province of Santiago del Estero and Buenos Aires. The theoretical part of the thesis offers a brief description of the phenomenon and its particular characteristics. There is also a historical part describing the origins of voseo in Spain as well as the beginnings and subsequent acceptance in America, particulary in Argentina. The part devoted to the ethics and metodology of the research explains in more detail how the collection of materials and the protection of personal data were ensured. The practical part opens with the division of Argentina according to the areas of dialects in order to get specifically to the aforementioned provinces and their comparison. The whole thesis is accompanied by a number of examples collected during the research and their subsequent processing.
