Impact of Common Agricultural Policy on Developing Countries

Abstract:

The aim of the submitted thesis “Impact of Common Agricultural Policy on Developing Countries” is to analyze the impact of the agricultural policy on developing countries through the analysis of the main instruments the EU uses to protect its agricultural markets. The first chapter consists of characteristic of the policy and developing countries with the focus on factors that are important for next parts of the thesis. The following chapters examine the chosen instruments in more depth. The theoretical base for the analysis is based particularly on the graphic representation of the impact of the instruments used at the world markets. Assessment itself is based on the analysis of current rate of utilization of the individual instruments of the European Union and the consequent impacts on the developing countries.

Abstract:

Predmetom diplomovej práce „Vliv společné zemědělské politiky na rozvojové země“ je zhonotenie vplyvu poľnohospodárskej politiky Európskej Únie na rozvojové krajiny prostredníctvom analýzy hlavných nástrojov, ktoré používa na ochranu svojich poľnohospodárskych trhov. Obsahom prvej kapitoly je charakteristika tejto politiky a rozvojových krajín, so zameraním na faktory, ktoré sú dôležité pre ďalšie časti práce. Obsahom nasledujúcich kapitol je samotná analýza vybraných nástrojov. Teoretickým podkladom pre túto analýzu je najmä grafické zobrazenie dopadu používaných nástrojov na svetové trhy. Samotné hodnotenie je založené na analýze aktuálnej miery využívania jednotlivých nástrojov Európskou Úniou a z toho vyplývajúcich dopadov na rozvojové krajiny.
